Assembly examples
On this link , you’ll find (categorized) various installation examples of new engines and hydraulic controls that we’ve installed and delivered.
We also install engines for boat builders and houseboat builders. Examples of these can be found on workboats and pontoon boats.
Many of our new engines are installed on new boats. This is because boat suppliers are often considerably more expensive.
Hydraulic steering
Engines up to 80 HP:
Hydraulic steering surcharge $500 (only in conjunction with engine purchase).
Type: Mavimare GF90BT for engines up to 80 HP .
Engines up to 150 hp:
Hydraulic steering surcharge $600 (only in conjunction with the purchase of an engine).
Type: Mavimare GF150BRT for engines up to 150 hp .
Please note: These controls can only be supplied at this price if purchased together with a motor.
It is not possible to have the control delivered afterwards for this amount.
Propeller service
When you purchase this engine, you will receive a propeller that we think is suitable for your boat.
If this size propeller turns out to be unsuitable for your boat, you can exchange it for a new one free of charge (provided there is no damage to the old propeller).
It’s crucial to use the right propeller because the engine should run at full power between 5500 and 6100 rpm. Therefore, the choice of propeller depends on the weight of your boat, the type of boat it is, and how you intend to use it.
If you are also going to use your boat for water skiing, for example, we recommend installing a propeller with a slightly smaller pitch so that the boat accelerates better.
We can supply the most common propellers for this engine from stock.
Self-assembly
If you are going to assemble the engine yourself, clear assembly instructions will always be provided upon delivery.
The following points are discussed:
– Correctly drilling the holes in the transom (for new boats).
– Sealing the engine with the correct sealant to prevent leakage and rotting of the transom.
– Mounting the engine at the correct height.
– Connecting the wiring to the remote control and gauges.
– Connecting the engine to the battery (possibly via the main switch).
– Discussing which propeller you need for optimal performance. (We often bring several propeller sizes so we can determine which one you need on-site.)
– Explaining how to install and correctly adjust the throttle/shift cables.
– Explaining how to break in a new engine.
– Explaining the manufacturer’s warranty.
